Description

This high-purity aluminum oxide powder is designed for use with air abrasion units such as the MiniBlaster, Microetcher, or similar chairside sandblasters. The 50-micron particle size is the industry standard for general clinical use, offering the perfect balance between cutting efficiency and surface smoothness.

It is used to clean and micro-roughen surfaces before bonding. By blasting enamel, porcelain, zirconia, or metal with this powder, you create a retentive surface area that significantly increases the bond strength of cements and adhesives. The powder is strictly sized and moisture-free to prevent clogging the nozzle of your sandblaster.

Key Features

  • 50 Micron Grit - The ideal particle size for general surface preparation, providing strong micro-mechanical retention without being overly aggressive.

  • Increases Bond Strength - Prepares enamel, composite, and ceramic surfaces to accept adhesive cements, improving bond retention by up to 400%.

  • High Purity - Pure white aluminum oxide (Al2O3) ensures no discoloration or contamination of the restoration.

  • Clog-Free Formula - Processed to be free of moisture and impurities, ensuring a smooth, continuous flow through the handpiece nozzle.

  • Universal Compatibility - Suitable for use in all standard clinical micro-etchers and lab sandblasters.

  • Economical Size - Supplied in a 2 lb (approx. 900g - 1kg) bottle, providing hundreds of clinical applications per container.

  • Versatile Application - Effective for cleaning old cement from crowns, prepping zirconia, and etching metal brackets.
