Bosworth Acid Etch
Acid Etch is silica and glycerin-free, providing a cleaner, rougher, increased surface
area free of bio-film. Acid Etch creates a deeper etch pattern for an easier application of
bonding materials. For increased patient comfort and easy clean-up, Acid Etch is highly
viscous, allowing for more accurate placement. Acid Etch is odorless, tasteless, and
available in a 35% concentration aqua blue formula.
Recommended for use with: Hydrox®
Tips: Acid Etch contains phosphoric acid which may cause burns or skin sensitization in
susceptible individuals. Before using this product cover the patient’s eyes with protective
eyewear. Avoid contact with oral tissues, eyes and skin. Do not use Acid Etch on dental
pulp tissue; cover dentin close to the pulp (< 1 mm remaining) with a hard setting
calcium hydroxide liner (Bosworth Hydrox).
