Description
This attachment connects to any standard E-Type low-speed motor. It is engineered specifically for mechanical root canal preparation. Instead of rotating the bur in a full circle, the head oscillates back and forth (reciprocates) in a 90-degree arc.
This motion replicates the safety and precision of hand filing but with the efficiency of a motor. It is designed to accept standard latch-type endo files or, with a specific head, standard hand files (using the plastic handle as the latch). It is commonly used for negotiating calcified canals and general cleaning and shaping.
Key Features
-
Quarter-Turn Reciprocating Motion - The head oscillates 90 degrees back and forth, preventing the file from binding or breaking inside the canal.
-
Hand File Simulation - Mimics the manual "watch-winding" motion used by dentists, reducing hand fatigue.
-
E-Type Connection - Fits all standard air or electric low-speed motors.
-
Safety Design - The reciprocating action significantly reduces the risk of file separation (breakage) compared to continuous rotation.
-
Autoclavable - Fully sterilizable for infection control.
