Description
This premium attachment allows dentists to use an electric motor for high-speed cutting. By using a 1:5 gear ratio, it multiplies the input speed of the motor by five times, allowing a standard 40,000 RPM electric motor to drive the bur at 200,000 RPM. This provides consistent torque and smoother cutting compared to air-driven turbines.
It is designed as a direct replacement or alternative for the KaVo 25LPA/LHA series. It features integrated fiber optics to illuminate the working area and internal water spray channels to ensure the tooth and bur are kept cool during heavy reduction. It accepts standard Friction Grip (FG) high-speed burs.
Key Features
-
1:5 Speed Increasing Ratio - Indicated by a Red Ring, this gearing multiplies motor speed for heavy-duty restorative work, crown preps, and cavity removal.
-
Fiber Optic Illumination - Features a solid glass rod element that transmits light from the motor to the preparation site for shadow-free visibility.
-
Internal Water Spray - Equipped with internal coolant channels (typically a multi-port spray) to provide a fine mist directly at the bur tip.
-
Push Button Chuck - Uses a secure push-button mechanism to hold standard Friction Grip (FG 1.6mm) burs.
-
Ceramic Bearings - Typically constructed with durable ceramic ball bearings to handle the high rotational speeds and reduce heat.
-
Electric Motor Compatible - Designed to fit standard ISO E-Type electric motors with internal water and light contacts.
