Description

This is a complete overhaul kit for the classic Midwest Quiet-Air Standard handpiece. It replaces the moving parts of the handpiece head. The "Screw Type" designation refers to the bur retention mechanism, which uses a specialized bur wrench (bur tool) to manually tighten the chuck around the bur shank. Including the end cap ensures that the new turbine fits perfectly and that the back bearing is properly supported, which is often critical for minimizing noise and vibration in older handpieces.

Key Features

  • Complete Replacement

    • Turbine Cartridge - Includes the rotor, spindle, impeller, and bearings pre-assembled for drop-in installation.

    • End Cap Included - Comes with the matching screw-on back cap, which often contains an O-ring or spring washer essential for correct turbine positioning.

      Compatibility

      • Midwest Quiet-Air Standard - Specifically designed for the "Standard" head size, screw-chuck version of the Quiet-Air. (Not compatible with "Tradition", "Quiet-Air L", or "Lever" models)

        • Performance

          • Standard Chuck - The screw-type chuck is renowned for its high bur retention strength and concentricity.

          • Balanced - The turbine is electronically balanced to ensure smooth operation at high speeds (typically ~350,000 - 400,000 RPM).

        • Maintenance

          • User Replaceable - Designed for easy chairside replacement without the need to send the handpiece away for repair.
